(Infocast News) US stocks closed mixed on Thursday in their first trading session after Christmas, disrupting a so-called Santa Claus rally.
The DJIA rose 28.77 points or 0.07%, to 43,325.80.
The S&P 500 fell 2.45 points or 0.04%, to 6,037.59.
The Nasdaq Composite fell 10.77 points or 0.05%, to 20,020.36.
Share performance was mixed in major European markets.
The FTSE 100 rose 34.27 points or 0.42%, to 8,136.99.
The German DAX fell 35.98 points or 0.18%, to 19,848.77.
The French CAC 40 rose 10.37 points or 0.14%, to 7,282.69. (WL)
